Dirty Birdy 2
So I'm driving home from the grocery store last week and I get stuck behind this golden oldie for 4 intersections and over 10 blocks. He's driving maybe 15mph. It's a 40mph zone. I keep thinking I'm gonna get an opportunity to pass him at some point, but the one other lane is filled with all the other people passing the both of us.
So, since I obviously was going to be here for a while, I decided to put my digital camera to use and snapped this picture. When I finally got home, I thought to myself: "Why just blog about it? Be a good taxpayer/citizen and report it. After all, this person could be dangerous!"
So that's just what I did. I called 911 and using my concerned voice, I reported him for driving erratically. I mentioned that he had a blue handicapped tag hanging from the rearview mirror and that I hoped he wasn't prone to having seizures or anything (out of concern, of course). They asked what direction he was traveling and the nearest intersection I saw him at, as well as the make/model of the car and the license plate number. After I complied, they said they'd notify the police in the area and have them be on the look out for him.
I hope he got the help he needed.

Good work! Thank you for keeping the roads safe from old handicapped menaces!

Passive aggression, anyone? What a drama queen.

The way this person talks you'd think there was no other way to go from point A to point B without taking the car. There is no such thing as walking or public transportation, or taking a cab, which would not imperil anyone's life. No, you have to drive a car yourself when you're too upset and blinded by tears. Lucky no one got killed. Totally irresponsible.

I think you are a total bitch who completely missed the point of the comment on Kirk's blog. So I'm going to spell it out for you in a manner that even a person like you can understand.
A person was driving slowly. As revenge, Kirk called the police and embellished a story, telling them that the driver was being erratic on the road. By saying that, he was implying they were perhaps swerving, speeding, driving in the wrong lane, tailgaiting, etc.
That was a lie. He made a false police report. Instead, he should have simply said "this person was slow". But he knew if he told the truth, they would laugh at him and hang up.
As for me as a driver --- I was NOT dangerous when my Grandmother died. Try having a little sympathy.
I did not swerve, run red lights, run stop signs, run over people on the crosswalk, or anything of the sort. I simply stated that I *MIGHT* have driven a little slower than the speed limit. That's all. That was the end of the story. All I said was that I may have been *SLIGHTLY* slower than normal.
But you want to create this whole scenario about me being this radical driver, in an effort to justify Kirk LYING to the police.
Lying is not acceptable, especially not to the police, and especially not as revenge.
Now...do you think you can comprehend the facts here in your ridiculously narrow mind?
I think it would have been nice for Kirk to step in on this one and say "hey, maybe I shouldn't have done what I did" but instead he let this shit storm continue, and somehow I've become the bad guy here when I was simply saying lying to the police was a bad idea.

I think Nathan has a lot of growing up to do.
