Tales from da Crib

*This post will stay at the top of my blog until Monday, October 24th. All new posts can be found directly beneath it.

Starting next week I'm going to be posting one creepy story a day. All of them true and all of them experienced by yours truly (a couple vicariously). Some of you may find them creepy while some of you may not. Whatever the case, I found them unsettling and each story, in some way, had a hand in my formative years. Most are from the past, one is from the present. I'll let you choose the order in which I'll post them.

Technical query:

One of the things I consistently admire is your HTML ability (or you got a REALLY GOOD blog toolbox somewhere). Your picture formatting, placement of text, colors, etc. make this such a visual delight to log into. (Oh, yeah, writing's good too!)

One thing I'd like to do is keep a paragraph at the top of later blogs like you've done here in this blog. Is there an easy HTML code you can imbed into you template to do that? And, what do I owe you if you share your deep dark secrets?

Nathan-
Thanks! I hope so! If you end up being disappointed, someone else wrote the stories. If you love them, I wrote them all by myself!

I love this time of year, too! It's like every time I turn the channel on TV, there's a great old creepy movie on TV! I'm going to go to early voting tomorrow (I'll blog with more details later), and the school where I vote is located in an area filled with lots of trees, leaves falling like confetti and pumpkins and ghosts decorating all the windows. So nice. I wish it could last forever.

Velma-
A Hunk A Day, huh? Hmmmm. Niiiice. I notice my man Johnathon Schaech was among some of them. ROWR!

JD-
Aw, thank you! Actually, I am self-taught when it comes to most of my computer "skillz." i.e. Photoshop, HTML, creating animated gifs, etc. There's still a lot I don't know how to do (tables, image maps, etc.), but I can usually figure out what I want to do when it comes to the blog. I'm flattered that you find my blog a visual delight. That's really nice to hear, esp. since I put so much time into my blog.

Okay, when you say you'd like to "keep a paragraph at the top of later blogs," do you mean like where it says "previous posts" in the left-hand column, with the titles of older posts directly beneath it? If so, I might be able to point you in the right direction. I looked at my blog template and found the code for that particular area, but I dunno it it will work for your template. You could always try it and do a "preview" before you permanently changed anything. E-mail me at KirkkitschBlog@aol.com and I'll send you the code and you can see if it'll work for you.

Thanks for the kind words! :)
