I recently saw this image with a big knife plunged into a pumpkin, and blood oozed from the "wound", with words that something like "I won't celebrate your birthday, Satan." Hysterical! This sort of stupid reaction only makes Halloween all the more fun.

The Christian kooks that come out of the woodwork every Halloween are 10x more scary than anything associated with Halloween. Most of the Religious Right are in desperate need of a life. You gotta feel sorry for them. They're miserable people. I refuse to let them affect my enjoyment of Halloween! If I let them poison my psche, I'd be as miserable as they are. SO not worth it.
