Miro's one of my fav artists, too. Along with Van Gogh and Marc Chagall.
I am not a huge Miro fan, but did visit his museum while I was in Barcelona, and was happy to see Google's nod to his birth date.
And now the family of Miro is pissed at Google for "violating their copyrighted works." What complete and total tools... this was an homage to Miro on his birthday! They should be thrilled that a company as widely known as Google has given such an honor to the artist, and happy to all the exposure that this has given his work. I hope that this doesn't spoil any future logos Google might create to expose more people to art.

Ooh, I love Van Gogh too! My all-time favorite is this self-portrait.

Cool! That's one of the things I envy about your travels; being able to see, firthand, all these great museums, etc.
Oh good lord. You gotta be shittin' me! That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! What a pack of morons. This is exactly why I hate so many aspects of the time period we're currently living in. Everyone is so easily offended and overcomplicates everything! Ridiculous! Grrrrr!
